The Union Station Nashville Yards Autograph Collection is one of the best hotels in Nashville. Once an old train terminal which has been turned into a boutique hotel. They kept the old charm of the era with modern updates to make it feel upscale with the historical charm.

Union Station is located on Broadway, which puts you within walking distance to all that Nashville has to offer. A short walk brings you to Midtown, the Gulch and lower Broadway where you can experience all things Nashville but it’s far enough away from the action where you can relax away from the crowds.

Union Station offers a variety of rooms to choose from. We ended up in a signature double queen where we could sit in our 18 foot ceiling room and watch the trains come in. We had a nice seating area giving us enough space to feel comfortable during our long weekend. 

On the main floor, Union Station offers a restaurant, seperate bar and plenty of lobby seating for you to enjoy the gorgeous historic charm of the original building. We ended up getting away from Broadway for a night and listened to live music in the lobby. 

We ate breakfast every morning at the hotel restaurant Stationary. I loved the architecture of this building so it was the perfect place to start the day. The food was also delicious, a win-win!! 

Nashville has a rich history of hauntings. Room 711 at Union Station is dubbed Abigail’s room. Abigail is said to have thrown herself onto the train tracks during WWII after finding out her fiancée died overseas. She is said to reside in the room with unexplained events happening in or around it.

Belle Meade was once a plantation established by John Harding. It was purchased by the state of Tennessee and is maintained as a historic site and winery. Located 20 minutes outside of downtown Nashville it’s the perfect historical getaway for an afternoon.
