We removed some wall paneling in our basement and uncovered this door cutout in the wall.
We opened it up and found this little creepy room. There was a rusted tin ceiling which had stained the concrete walls and floor from condensation.
I decided we needed to use this new found space in our home. I bought a concrete waterproofing paint and painted the walls white.
We decided to go over the existing tin ceiling with a new tin ceiling that I painted black.
We added some new laminate flooring that flowed from the new bar area we built so there was a seamless transition through the spaces.
I added two sideboards for storage, wall wine racks, lighting, and accessories to make this once creepy room into a fabulous new wine cellar.
A glass sliding door was added to separate the spaces. I wanted to be able to see into the space even when it was closed up for temperature control.
Head on over to my Instagram page and find the highlight labeled Creepy Room to see more of the process and some fun videos.
